- ground source heat pumps
- air source heat pumps

Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is the first financial support scheme for renewable heat of its kind in the world.
Feed in tariff (FITs) mean that energy suppliers have to (compulsory for big six suppliers) make regular payments to householders and communities who generate their own electricity from renewable or low carbon sources such as solar photovoltaic (PV) or wind turbines.
