The Lincolnshire Agricultural Society conceived the proposal for the EPIC Centre and has led the business planning, fundraising and delivery of the build project since 2003. The LAS owns the EPIC Centre and the 205 acre Lincolnshire Showground. Its wholly owned subsidiary, the Lincolnshire Event Centre, manages the EPIC Centre.

Lincolnshire County Council has supported the business planning and subsequent development of the EPIC Centre. The Council made a grant of £1 million towards the development of the project and supported a successful application to the Objective 2 European Regional Development Fund.
The EPIC Centre is sited within the Nettleham Ward of West Lindsey District Council. The District Council has been an early supporter of the project and made a grant 0f £0.25 million toward its development.
The European Regional Development Fund has recognised EPIC as a regional project of worth and agreed to make a grant of £1.66 million through its Objective 2 Structural Fund
The Lincolnshire Cooperative Society is supporting the Low Carbon Education Network through a three year grant to establish an Education Resources Manager within the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society
