Low carbon economy opportunities for social enterprise
- a practical one day conference 25th of March at Hill Holt Wood 10.30 am – 4 pm Hear from experts and practitioners about opportunities arising from microgeneration, retrofitting and waste. Speakers include representatives from Defra, Energy Saving Trust, ECD Energy Conscious Design, LCRN, Hill Holt Wood, Torrs Hydro, Hockerton Housing Project, EcoSky and Freewatt. In addition to presentations and workshops there will be an opportunity to tour and see the latest developments at Hill Holt Wood. This free event is organised by EMLSEN* and funded by Capacitybuilders. Sustainable Living Exhibition at the Lincolnshire Show 23rd & 24th June 9am-5pm
The innovative EPIC centre at the heart of the Lincolnshire Showground is annually the home to our Sustainable Living Exhibition during the two days of the county show. In this it's third year, the exhibition is being supported by the Energy Savings Trust, Lincolnshire County Council, the Renewable Energy Foundation (REF) and Clydesdale Bank. Together they will offer an impartial advice point to ensure that vistors have access to experts on sustainable technologies, current research, local and national initatives (e.g. grants and free insulation) and financing projects, giving them all the tools they need to take positive environmental action in their lives. Approximately 70 exhibitors will be showcasing products and services that share our ethos. Come and play with REF's sustainable wendy house and see how solar thermal panels produce hot water on the 4Solar stand.
